GO InterNational Staff
The staff at GO are united in our mission: to see the Great Commission fulfilled. We want to see the international community of Christ united.
Ron Houp | President & CEO
Ron Houp has served with GO InterNational since 2007. He was Senior Vice President before he assumed the role of President in 2014. He loves to teach on finance, stewardship, and missions. His life was changed by a short-term mission trip, and he loves to see others experience this change. He has traveled to more than 25 countries on four continents.
He has served in several ministry leadership roles ranging from Executive Pastor of a fast growing church to the CFO of a major Christian publisher. He has also owned and operated several small businesses. He also loves woodworking and restoring old cars.
Ron graduated from Asbury University in 1987 with a degree in Accounting & Business Management. He enjoys learning the nuances of the not-for-profit world, especially how boards of directors function. He has served on the boards of numerous Christian ministries including Indian Springs Holiness Camp Meeting, the Ichthus Christian music festival, the Wilmore Community Service Center, the Malachi Network, and The World Our Parish. He also loves to see businesses prosper and has served on the boards of Jessamine County Chamber of Commerce and First Southern National Bank.
Ron and his wife Kathy have been married since 1987 and have four grown children: Will and his wife Dara, Sarah, Emily and Christopher.
Curtis Elliott | Vice President
Curtis came on staff with GO as the Vice President in the Fall of 2023. He lives in Wilmore Kentucky with his wife Maggie, his two sons Wesley and Nathan, and his daughter Maia.
Curtis and his family moved to Wilmore to attend Asbury Theological Seminary. After graduating with a PhD in Intercultural Studies, he felt called to minister in the Republic of Georgia where he spent two years doing local ministry through an English center. Afterwards they moved back to the United States and God led them back to Wilmore.
Curtis has extensive experience with mission mobilization, short term teams, and facilitating partnerships between organizations for the task of world evangelism and discipleship. He has worked with The Salvation Army, The Christian and Missionary Alliance and Adventures in Mission. He is also an adjunct professor at Asbury University where He teaches Christian mission courses.
Curtis loves Georgian food, hiking, learning new languages and spending time with his family.
Please pray for Curtis' ministry as he champions the life changing message of the gospel of Christ around the world through the ministry of GO International.
Larry Montgomery | Director of Team Ministries
Larry Montgomery has been on staff with GO since the summer of 2016 and lives in Eminence, Kentucky with wife Jennifer, daughter Ashton, and son Elijah. He serves as the Director of Team Ministries for GO InterNational, providing leadership and oversight for all their ministries, both international and domestic. In 1998, he took his first trip with GO and has led team trips since 2010.
Larry has led many teams around the world, assisting indigenous pastors in their ministries to reach the world for the Gospel. He feels that 1 Chronicles 28:9-10 models what Christian missions look like for him:
"And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. Consider now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a house as the sanctuary. Be strong and do the work.”
Larry loves most food, but mostly French fries, and enjoys doing whatever his wife and kids are doing along with watching football and University of Kentucky basketball. Please pray for Larry and his work in team missions and spreading the love of Christ to those who have not yet heard the wonderful news.
Michelle Gash | Mission Team Recruiter & Mobilizer
Michelle Gash has been on staff with GO InterNational since 2019 but has been connected with GO for more than 20 years. In 1999, at the age of 12 years old, she went on a mission trip to Venezuela with GO InterNational that changed her life. About a year later, she felt God’s call into missions.
Michelle works as a mobilizer and team recruiter for GO. Her responsibilities include developing, implementing, and leading mission teams, IDMM training, Women’s Cycle of Life training, and content creation and design.
Michelle has a Masters in Social Work and spent six years working in the foster care system with abused and neglected children. She feels called to use her experience and training to help encourage, train, and equip GO’s international partners, individuals GO serves globally, and the local church. Michelle’s heart is to see the whole church engaged and participating in the Great Commission no matter their age, education level, and so on.
Michelle has been married to Eric since 2012. They live in Lexington, KY with their dog, Lucy. Michelle loves CrossFit, kayaking, and traveling. She especially enjoys meeting new people, learning about their culture, and trying new foods when she is traveling to other countries!
Please pray for Michelle and her work in mobilizing, team leading, and training at GO InterNational.
Anna Carman | Office & Finance Manager
Anna is serving GO as the Office and Finance Manager since. A part of the GO team since 2018, Anna tenaciously works behind the scenes to keep the cogs turning and handles day–to–day financing across the whole organization.
Anna joyfully and passionately is part of the women’s ministry leadership team at her church in Wilmore, Great Commission Fellowship, helping to plan retreats and community-building events.
She also is a member of the Board of Directors for Adventure Serve Ministries, a local non-profit whose aim is to facilitate growth experiences for youth through adventure and service.
She lives on the Kentucky River next to Highbridge with her husband Jonathan and English Shepherd named Caesar. She loves boating, swimming, and sharing the river with anyone who cares to enjoy it. All are welcome to stop by when you're in town!
With a history of working with non-profits and as a personal assistant, Anna is excited to be a tiny part of the Kingdom work being done by GO's staff and international partners who are face to face, gathering at tables with people in need of food, medical care, education and relationship with Jesus.
Anna Thatcher | Engagement Manager
Anna recently joined GO staff in August of 2024. She graduated from Asbury University with degrees in Equine Studies: Training, and Media Communications: Film Production.
While originally from Greenwood, Indiana, Anna now lives in Lexington, Kentucky with two of her college friends. She loves reading, animals, the outdoors, and playing volleyball.
The first mission trip Anna was a part of was during her senior year of high school when her youth group traveled to Las Vegas to partner with YWHAM in their ministry outreaches. Anna’s heart for missions grew as she became involved in World Gospel Mission’s student center at Asbury—joining the Leadership Team her junior year, and leading on the Executive Team her senior year as the VP of Communications. Then, during the summer of 2024, Anna flew to London, England where she volunteered at Luminary Bakery, a Christian founded bakery whose mission was to empower women in recovery, and came alongside their relational ministry in East London.
As Engagement Manager at GO, Anna is in charge of GO’s website, social media, product designs, university relations, and more. She will also be using her film background to tell the stories of how God has been working in the ministries of GO’s international partners throughout the years.
Anna is excited to combine her passions for Jesus, missions, storytelling, and media as she is a vessel for God’s kingdom work here at GO.
