Everything you need to know about what happens next
step 1
Managed Missions Registration & Trip Hub
Every trip participant will need to register (button at the bottom of this page) with our mission trip management system.
You will need to create a username and password and have an active email address.
Everything pertaining to the mission trip can be done through this system (including making payments) so keep your username and password handy!
step 2
Passport
You will be asked to upload a copy of your passport.
If you do not have a passport (or if it expires within 6 months of your trip), please apply for one as soon as possible.
You can still register for the team without it, but we’ll need the passport to purchase your flights.
step 3
Background Check
GO requires background checks for all its participants.
Once you register on Managed Missions, every day for 7 days (or until you complete this task) you will receive an email from Check R, the company that processes all our background checks.
They will require your social security number on their secure web form. Please fill this out ASAP!
Note on minors: they will be asked for a background check, please ignore.
step 4
Reminder Emails
Throughout the trip prep process you will receive reminder emails asking you to complete certain tasks.
Please complete these tasks as soon as you can!
A word about finances:
Raising support for a mission trip is a challenging but rewarding experience. God already knows how He will provide for your trip so you can trust Him in this process.
The prices of trips are divided into two amounts: the trip cost + airfare.
The initial fundraising goal in Managed Missions will reflect estimated airfare.
The trip costs are usually firm, but the airfare can fluctuate until purchased (flights are typically $1,000-$1,800).
Once flights are purchased 2 months out from your trip, this firm amount will adjust your amount due in Managed Missions.
You will receive reminder emails that a portion of your overall funding is due. Please make these payments before or on their due dates!
These emails come 90, 60, and 30 days before your trip dates. At each of these markers, 1/3 (33%) of your funding will be due.
