Trip Leader: Dr. Larry Frick, Miles Phelps

DATES:  June 10-23, 2017

Cost: $1750 plus airfare

Project: We will be leading an evangelistic outreach to six villages. We’ll be working with local pastors and missionaries who serve in this remote, forgotten and under resourced area of the country. We’ll be preaching the gospel, providing medical care and children’s ministry to the people. The medical team will provide outpatient medical and dental care to needy people living in villages where there is little access to medical care. We will provide basic medical evaluation, limited outpatient surgical procedures, and medicines. We will also focus on community health education and evangelism for those attending the clinics and partner with local churches to facilitate ongoing disciple-making.

Partner: This is a new partnership facilitated by City for the Nations in Lexington KY with Kudvumisa Foundation and missionaries Daran and Teresa Rehmeyer in Swaziland. They strive to provide Christ centered compassionate care for the poor in the communities they serve, especially those affected by HIV.

Personnel Needs: People with a heart for evangelism and ministry to children and families. Primary care physicians, PAs/NPs, dentists, nurses, dental assistants, pharmacists. Non-medical people are also welcome and will be able to help professionals in the clinic, help with logistics, patient flow, and ministry to children.

Location: The team will arrive in Johannesburg and stay in a hotel the first night. We will travel to Swaziland and stay in a guest house there, returning via Kruger park to Johannesburg the day before our departure home.
