An exciting new dimension has been added to the ministries of GO InterNational. We are branching into Homeland Missions, taking teams for service within the United States’ borders. Roger and Susan Clark have accepted the position of Directors of Homeland Missions with excitement, purpose and a desire to be used of the Lord to be “His hands and feet.”One facet of this ministry will be disaster response: helping in building restoration and repair, aide distribution, and counseling to those in crisis. A second facet will be developing long-term relationships with other ministries who are directly assisting “the least of these” in a variety of U.S. settings (e.g., urban ministries, orphanages, assistance to the rural poor).
In 2012 we are hoping to have several teams in ministry across our country. From the North Dakota flooding to the Alabama tornados, from the inner city work in Erie, PA, and Indianapolis to rural Appalachia, there is a tremendous amount of need. But with the need is an equal amount of opportunity for the Body of Christ to join together in helping our neighbors across the street or in the next county or state in their time of need, showing them Christ’s love.
